In a well-ventilated space, cover a flat surface with a drop cloth or tarp.
Step 2
Before starting, read the Krylon® labels for safety and application instructions.
Step 3
In an area separate from where you will spray, use 220 girt sandpaper to sand the surfaces of the nightstand in the direction of the wood grain.
Step 4
Remove any sanding dust using a clean rag. Ensure that the surface is clean, dull, and dry before spray painting or staining.
Step 5
Move the nightstand onto the covered surface and use painter's tape and newspaper to protect the top of the nightstand and the door inset from overspray.
Step 6
Spray paint the nightstand using Krylon® COLORmaxx in Satin Iris.
When the spray paint is dry to the touch, remove the painter's tape and newspaper.
Step 7
Use newspaper and painter's tape to cover the entire nightstand except the top.
Step 8
Paint the top of the night stand using Krylon® Chalky Finish Brush-On in Anvil Gray.
Step 9
When the Chalky Finish Brush-On is fully dry, remove the painter's tape and newspaper.
Step 10
Use painter's tape and newspaper to protect the entire nightstand except the door inset. The portion of the door that was just painted should be completely covered.
Step 11
Remove any remaining painter's tape and newspaper from the nightstand.
Step 12
Place the nightstand in a child's room to inspire creativity with color every day!
