Step 1
In a well-ventilated area, cover a flat surface with a drop cloth or tarp to protect from overspray.
Step 2
Before starting, read your Krylon® labels for safety, application and dry-time instructions.
Step 3
Place bench and stairs on the drop cloth with enough spacing to avoid overspray. Smooth out any rough spots with sandpaper.
Step 4
Wipe down the surfaces with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove dust particles. Allow to dry before painting.
Step 5
Shake your Krylon® can for at least 1 minute before spraying.
Step 6
To achieve the featured look, spray paint the base of the bench and sides of stairs with Satin Pistachio, staying 8-10 inches away to avoid drips. Recoat until you achieve the desired finish, waiting 1 minute between coats.
Step 7
Let dry for 1 hour before setting up the stairs for the second color. Use tape to protect painted side areas from overspray.
Step 8
Paint front of stairs with Satin Jade. Recoat until you achieve the desired finish, waiting 1 minute between coats.
Step 9
Wait 1 hour for paint to dry before carefully removing tape and setting up for the next color.
Step 10
Tape off the finished areas of the bench and stairs, leaving only the tops exposed. Spray the top of the bench and stair treads with Gloss Bahama Sea. Recoat until you achieve the desired finish, waiting 1 minute between coats.
Step 11
Wait 1 hour for paint to dry before carefully removing tape. Add a cushion to complete your canine window seat.
