In a well-ventilated space, cover a flat surface with a drop cloth or tarp.
Step 2
Before starting your project, read the Krylon® labels for safety and application instructions.
Step 3
In an area separate from where you will stain and spray paint, prepare your door for the project by removing any hardware.
Step 4
Use 220 Grit sandpaper to sand in the direction of the wood grain. Remove any sanding dust with a cloth and ensure that the surface of the door is clean, dull, and dry before applying any product.
Step 5
Use painter's tape to create a horizontal line one quarter of the way down the door, splitting it into two sections. Cover the upper quarter of the door with newspaper and painter's tape to protect from overspray.
Step 6
Spray paint the lower half of the door using Krylon® COLORmaxx in Matte Sunrise.
Step 7
When the spray paint is dry to the touch, remove the painter's tape and newspaper.
Step 8
Place the door into its frame and style your new entryway with bright, contrasting colors. Enjoy an entryway sure to impress your guests!
