In a well-ventilated area, cover a flat surface with a drop cloth or tarp to protect from overspray.
Step 2
Before starting, read your Krylon labels for safety, application and dry-time instructions.
Step 3
Place the tackle box on the drop cloth. Cover any areas you don't want to paint with painter's tape (latches, handle, etc.).
Step 4
Smooth out any rust buildup with sandpaper (you can also use a wire brush).
Step 5
Wipe down the surface with a damp, lint-free cloth to remove rust particles or dust. Allow to dry before painting.
Step 6
Shake your Krylon can for at least 1 minute before spraying.
Step 7
To achieve the featured look, spray paint the body of the tackle box with Gloss Red Pepper, staying 8-10 inches away to avoid drips. Recoat until you achieve the desired finish, waiting 1 minute between coats.
Step 8
Let dry for 1 hour before setting up for the second color. Use tape to protect painted areas from overspray.
Step 9
Paint handle with Matte Wild Honey. Recoat until you achieve the desired finish, waiting 1 minute between coats.
Step 10
Wait 1 hour for paint to dry before carefully removing tape.
