Set up a spray area by covering work area with a drop cloth. Make sure it is a well-ventilated area.

Using a screwdriver, remove door from hinges and hardware from door.
Step 3
Use painter's tape to completely tape off any area that you do not want painted. Use cardboard or paper to mask window area.
Step 4
Using an all-purpose cleaner, thoroughly clean the door to remove dirt, oils and dust. Rinse thoroughly with water and allow door to dry.
Step 5
If paint or rust is flaking off the surface, use a wire brush or sandpaper to remove it. Wipe clean.
Step 6
Applying in a well-ventilated area, prime door using the Krylon® Rust Tough® with Anti-Rust Technology™, holding the can 6-8 inches from the surface and using a sweeping side-to-side motion with slight overlap.
Step 7
Holding can of Krylon® Rust Tough® Gloss Enamel - Forest Green 6-8 inches from the surface and paint using a sweeping side-to-side motion with slight overlap.
Step 8
Allow paint to dry for 30-60 seconds.
Step 9
Continue to apply light, multiple coats, waiting 30-60 seconds between each, until you are satisfied with the appearance.
Step 10
Make sure the door is completely dry before you remove the painter's tape and cardboard or paper.
Step 11
Krylon® Rust Tough® Gloss Enamel dries in 25 minutes or less, and can be handled in less than one hour, although you may wish to wait a few hours before reattaching the hardware to the door and the door to hinges.
