Materials

  • Krylon Contractor Striping Paints--Water-Based - Athletic Field White (#7344)
  • Krylon Striping Equipment - (#8360)
  • Note: Paint coverage per can: 602 linear feet (2” wide line) 301 linear feet (4” wide line)

General Supplies

  • Tape Measure (at least 16')

Instructions

  1. Remove debris from the area.
  2. Shake can vigorously.
  3. Place can upside down in holder. Align tip parallel to axel.
  4. Squeeze lever with machine in motion to stripe.
  5. Start at bottom making your first square.
  6. Create desired pattern making each square an equal size.

Tips

Use the tape measure to help make straight lines. For best result, attempt one line at a time. Attempting to create right angles, or turns, with one continuous line may result in smearing. Watch your step to avoid stepping on recently painted lines. When creating a column with two squares side to side, make initial figure as a rectangle and then make a line dividing it in half resulting in the two desired squares. This will insure more precise lines. Reapply paint weekly for prolonged use with water-based paint and reapply as needed with solvent-based paint.
